Product Overview:  Our Indian chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans or chana (primarily Kabuli and Desi varieties), are mainly collected from states like Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. They come in graded sizes based on seeds per ounce, with specifications set by APEDA and international standards for export quality. Usual traits include light cream to beige color for Kabuli types, with Desi being darker and smaller.
Key Features:
Moisture content is limited to 10-14% max to ensure shelf life.
Admixture (foreign matter) stays at 0.2-1% max,
Broken kernels under 1-2%,
Damaged or weeviled seeds below 0.3-3% max.
Chickpea counts define grades, e.g., 42/44 (11-12 mm size) for extra bold
